What he covers

From Product Inception to Commercialisation

Mahmoud’s edge is the full arc of a technology product—from a blank page to a paying customer, and from a paying customer to an exit.

turning a rough idea, research insight, or technical capability into a defined, fundable product
building teams and shipping products on capital efficiency, not cheque size
moving patented or protected IP from the lab to revenue. His Bluetooth mesh technology was acquired by a Chinese AI tech giant for its IoT expansion; his swarm intelligence protocol was recognised as disruptive by the co-inventor of MCSS, the core tech behind 4G and WiFi
making conscious trade-offs between MVP speed and long-term engineering health, so products scale without collapsing under their own weight

International Experience

International Consultancy Experience

Mahmoud has delivered technology projects across several countries, including:

Malaysia
Egypt
UAE
US
Japan
Germany

This international exposure gives him direct experience working across different regulatory environments, languages and stakeholder expectations—directly relevant to Halal organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.

Industry Background

Before becoming a founding partner of Go Halal, Mahmoud spent more than 19 years in Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things and Generative AI—founding seven startups, mentoring more than 50 startups and consulting more than 100 startups through government incubators across Malaysia and Egypt.

Across these roles, he repeatedly moved between founder, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President positions, giving him a 360-degree view of how technology products are built, scaled, sold and exited.Highlights include leading more than 250 engineers at Skymind Global and building the swarm-intelligence protocol for mesh networks that was recognised as a disruptive technology by the co-inventor of MCSS, the core technology behind 4G and Wi-Fi.

Through HEXio Technologies, Mahmoud later contributed to the development of HaNa, or Halal Navigator, in collaboration with Halal Development Corporation Berhad. HaNa applies Generative AI to business discovery, matching and lead generation across the global Halal ecosystem and operates as a distinct capability within the wider Go Halal platform.
